The Corpus Christi Yacht Club is a full service club which offers two
levels of dining and a snack bar by the pool. CCYC has hosted a number
of
events of this caliber. Past events include three J24 North American
('79,
'82, '88) and one J24 National Championships ('98), 1999 5o5 and Optimist
North American Championships, and yearly J24 and J22 Southwest Circuit
Regattas. For an event of this importance, we draw on area US
Sailing race
officials who have run three J22 North American Championships (Houston-1997,
Dallas-1994, 2000) and one J22 World Championship (Fort Worth, 1996).
There is plenty of space at the yacht club for measurement and race
management needs. Municipal property adjacent to the marina provides
room
for 100 boats and trailers. Three ramps and one newly-replaced
two ton hoist
are available for launching. We supplement this on the final
day of the
regatta with a hired crane, for expedient haul-out. While in
the water, boats will stay in slips or tie alongside bulkheads at CCYC
